Margaret Thatcher’s Funeral
Those who are saying that her funeral shouldn’t have been state funded for whatever disrespectful reasons should seriously re-evaluate themselves and realise how scummy and disgusting their opinions are.
Margaret Thatcher was first and foremost a Prime Minister of the UK. One who worked immensely hard to win the public vote (on more than one occasion) and as a woman, a role model to women that we can achieve success if we strive to.
Seeing a (now deleted) ‘friend’s’ angry Facebook post about the funeral costing taxpayers £10 million absolutely disgusted me. This ‘horrendous bill’ probably only cost under 50p to each UK taxpayer - a tiny amount we should and can pay to honour an ex-PM; regardless of what she did.
Sorry for ranting but this seriously annoyed me.
